Advisory Team

We invite all families, staff and community members to participate on our Advisory Team. We need members who will use their talents to enhance the well-being of our child care program. The Advisory Team consists of the executive director, director, staff members and when possible parents and community members.

The Advisory Team meets throughout the year to review goals, policies and procedures and the planning process. They also monitor progress and take action as needed.

Strategic Planning Documents

Each year Bow Valley Child Care Centre uses a variety of quality assurance measures to help improve the quality of care at our centre. Goals, objectives and action plans are created for our centre each year and on an on-going basis.

Annual Review Process

At Bow Valley Child Care Centre we evaluate our program on an on-going basis. Several quality assurance tools are used to measure our progress, including: licensing checklists, infant/toddler environmental rating scale, early childhood environment rating scale, accreditation checklists, caregiver interaction scale, parent and staff surveys, parent and staff meetings, program activity evaluation forms, community feedback forms and current child care research. Short and long-term goals and initiatives for the upcoming year are established and action plans are developed and reviewed.

E-Mail Distribution List

Bow Valley Child Care Centre distributes information to the community via e-mail. This information includes parenting information and resources, parent workshops and up-dates
related to early childhood development and child care. We also send out an annual survey that allows the community to provide us feedback and input regarding our centre and programs.
